Webcomic with female cyborg

Post by darkbutflashy » Tue Oct 02, 2012 12:03 pm

Not new, but still unmentioned here: http://dresdencodak.com

I find it outstanding not only for its main character -an Indiana-Jonesque cyborg woman- but also for the topic being science and unconventional wisdom and of course, the fine artwork. Enjoy.

Think a page from this was posted up a looooong while back... I should totally go finish my colour copy of that nude pic of Kimiko Aaron posted to his tumblr. Oh wait, I'm lazy - almost slipped there.

Great comic. I used to follow a lot of webcomics regularly, but after I while couldn't really bother to keep up with any other than Penny Arcade. This one was good enough for me to start following though. It's a bit uneven in tone if you read it all the way through, i.e. early era was lots of one-off joke strips with much simpler artwork, but once it started moving towards great art and worldbuilding it really turned into something special. The creator seems to be a big advocate for science, art, and transhumanism. I follow his tumblr. He's posted a series of really interesting "reboot" ideas of various superhero comics with his own redesigns of major characters. Some I love, some not so much, but they're all really interesting and well-though-out takes on classic characters.

Hokay, mostly, but not quite done, but tired of it again. :/

Ah well.
