BRAINS software of Aiko fembot Demo Video Face, 3-D object

Post by ProjectAiko » Sat Jul 19, 2008 11:53 pm

Hi

It has been awhile since I did any video of Aiko.
I have promised to demo the BRAINS software of Aiko.

Anyway...

B.R.A.I.N.S = Biometric Robot Artificial Intelligence Neural System

There are many application that can be use with the BRAINS software.
One of the application is Project Aiko

Specification:

Language Program: Basic & C
Bits: 32 Bits
Resolution: 1200x 740

Control upto 8 camera
Control Microconroller,including gyro, accelemoter etc...
Control special sensors inside silicone skin.
Control human behaviour, mimic pain, tickle, touch gently.
Access info. Hwy, for Teamperature and Weather
Vision: Reading, Colour, Math.
AI: Learning from the envirnment and interact with the software
Automation, self control
Speech: English & Japanese
Voice Recognition: Work with most people (No training require)
AI Conversational:13,000 sentences
Access Background from foreground.
Face recognition 250faces /sec including multiply people in the same room
3-d object - recognize in 3-d
Trace mouth, shoulder and heart.
Trace human motion such as arms and hands

Unique:
1) Voice recognition (No training voice require)
2) Easy to understand voice speech
3) Reading, anything the software can not read, it will spell it out.
4) Face fast detection and accurrate, 250/sec
5) Detect mouth, shoulder, and heart (can be use for future arm robotic to feed handicap)
6) 3-D object recognize, and trace object movenment.
7) Trace human motion such as arms and hands
8) Can recognize a face with or without the hat.

Application:
Robotics,Multimedia, Airport, Military, Information desk, Security, Medical-hospital, Adult Companions and much more

Please watch the video and see what you like about it and what you don't like about it.
The software can always be improved. The software and hardware was done by me alone, there
are some limitation one person can do. But I still believed that it can be better in the future.

If you would like me to post anymore information about the software, let me know...

Regards,
Le
P.S. in case you are wondering... Aiko: Cosplay of Chii from Chobits in a Sexy Maid costume.

Sorry, the video is too long for youtube, you going to have to get it from my site.

Mr. Trung, I continue to be amazed by your work. The software you have developed exceeds the Actroid's and the fact that you have done this alone is testament to your talent and genius. I thank you for sharing your work with us. I was pleased to see Aiko had a spot on the evening news up there in Canada! This is wonderful for bringing this technology into the mainstream and will promote acceptance. Everything I have seen concerning Aiko has been either positive or humorous, but nothing that indicates they feel threatened. This is a big step considering some of the first responses to the Actroid were that they were going to end up turning on us and killing us!

About your software. I was thinking that considering the increasing size of memory in flash drives, would it be practical to distribute the intelligence throughout the body? For example, all the computations for what the right arm does can be contained in that area and only receive instructions from the central brain and also be monitored by it when doing something specific. This way the central brain doesn't have to be overburdened with processing. The legs can eventually continue to keep balance automatically (even independently) until given the command to walk, run, turn, etc., but with the necessary software localized to that area. They can even react to stimulus without the central brain. This may also make it easier to repair or replace damaged software.

Another thought I had a while back was when I was playing the old video game Asteroids. I know this may seem like a strange example, but that primitive software did something interesting. When the thrust on the ship was let off it continued to "drift" and even lagged when it changed flight direction. A slight drifting effect can be used in the average movements of a robot, I think, in order to make those movements seem more fluid and human-like.

These are just thoughts. I would be very interested to hear your opinion since you are an expert in this field. I wish you the best of luck with your project. You are a credit to us all!

Hi

To: Keizo

Yes, if I have the money I would have put more cpu to share the load.
Since I don't have the money, one main cpu does it all, that is why you see some pause when
everything is trying to process all at once. (especially, the 3-D recognition).

To: Robotman

Thanks, However, you haven't seen nothing yet.
I have been programing straight for the last month or so.

I am currently making Aiko's new hands. With 5 moving fingers.
Once, both hands are done and sync with Aiko's AI.
Aiko should be able to make coffee for you, sort toys, food...etc.
The main thing is making coffee and miso soup for me. I will be happy with that.

I can't wait for you to succeed! Miso soup and coffee sound great. I am truly happy to see that you are doing all that you can. I wish you all the funding you will ever need! Thank you for writing back :D
