TV sighting

A low budget Canadian science fiction series called "Starhunter 2300." There was an episode, "Kate," in which they replace their male AI with a female one, and the usual hysterical HAL hijinks ensue. She's a computer, but with a substantial form, and the word "robot" is at least bandied about. At least as good as most one-off sightings on syndicated American TV shows.
