Thought I’d point this out an interesting looking independent movie based on the classic ballet Coppelia, which is I believe in turn based on Tales of Hoffman. The website for the movie is (with the h):
ttp://www.hedgespictures.com/
For those of you unfamiliar with the plot of Coppelia I’ll try to sum it up in 100 words or less:
It's the old...crazy toy maker/doctor creates realistic doll, boy flirts with doll, girl gets angry with boy, they make up, the burgermeister offers them money to get married, they shake wheat, wheat shaking doesn’t go well and they break up, girl breaks into crazy doctors house to confront rival and discovers she’s a doll, boy breaks in to meet doll, doctor tries to bring doll to life with magic by stealing life force from boy, but girl has taken the place of doll and fools doctor to save boy, boy and girl fall in love and get married...story.
I haven’t seen the movie, but the trailer looks good and as it is available for purchase on DVD--I’m considering it.

P.S. I encourage people to count the above summation; quite accidentally it is 100 words exactly. Thank you, no applause necessary.
