LOL I thought most of you guys were hoping that Actroid might do more than just serve you coffee! Suspect its a case of preference, Actroid looks remarkably human in appearance whereas Asimo just looks like someone in a modified astronauts suit, presumably to hide all the gadgetry inside.
(Well unless it is a human in a modified astronauts suit! I know, not tall enough.)
Of course Actroid cant actually walk yet! But yes in the next few years an Actroid type robot will surely be able to walk as well as talk.
I would imagine in 15-20 years time these models will look like 'dinosaurs' compared to the modern robots living around us. Would love to go that way myself but as I will be in my sixties by then I suspect a major overhaul would be needed!
a step forward

Very amazing video and story.
Very important point is the lease fee of 20million yen/year.
Seems expensive.. but consider that a typical office employee in Japan
might cost from 3 million to 10 million yen per year in salary, insurance,
health plan, etc.
When the robot is as useful as a typical office drone (of the human type,
the kind that merely greet guests, make tea and copies, and watch the front desk.. which in Japan is the position for young, cute ladies) and costs less, people could start to be replaced, and the market could explode.
And while employees require regular salary increases, robot "salaries" will just keep decreasing
