New to Dungeons and Dragons: PC Constructs!

Post by Fembot-Fem » Wed Nov 23, 2005 7:01 pm

I have not yet had the pleasure of playing D&D, but i really do like how the game seems to work. Anyway...

Recently, a new campagin setting and several new features came out with the Eberon story arc. Among them are new races such as the Shifters, who are pretty much born werewolves.

And most excitedly of all, the Warforged! These are a sentient race of constructs created during a one-hundred year war refered to as the Great War. They developed sentience thanks to the arcane magics used in their creation. While considered heros to many people in the land, they are also considered to be a source of fear and perscicution thanks to their battle-laiden past.

The Warforged can accept most player types including Paladin, Mage and Druid. As with most other constructs and golems, Warforged are immune to status effects that would normaly harm humans or other biological beings, but can be affected by spells and enchantments that harm artifical beings, such as Disable Construct (though this dosent spell instant death for your Warforged charicter.)

And just in case you were wondering, yes, they do come in female form.

Fan-Made, but it can still count for your D&D campagin.

And sorry if this has already been reported, been somewhat busy with thanksgiving around the corner and all.

I don't know offhand that it was reported here. However, the D&D online game they're working on will be set in Eberron. WHile female styled Warforged are a rarity, they do exist. And some are mentioned as NPC's in the resource books.
