Hi All
I remember here or elsewhere someone had posted a mention of an anime series about to play in Japan that either had living dolls or robots in it.
I think it was also sounding a bit dark and kinky.
As time has pass and fansubs abound - anyone know what it is and has seen it?
Cheers
M
Anime series with a robot - recently aired in Japan?

Yep...I sure know how you feel.... I had five penpals in Japan years ago who sent me WONDERFUL things....one had a friend who worked in a fotomat sized VIDEO RENTAL KIOSK... and since they had to change the video selection on a bi weekly basis.......my penfriend got whatever she picked out of a pile...kept what she liked, and sent me several things that she thought would tickle my fancy....I used to get cookies, and UFO CATCHER DOLLS too .....as well as NEWTYPE and other mags.....oh, I miss those days....... apparently, once a young lady is married, they can no longer have contact with other male friends, so they stopped writing and gifting because of their husband's jealousy or paranoia....whatever..... OF COURSE, I used to send Disney videos and a LOT of things here that they were crazy about but were ASTRONOMICALLY expensive there ....on the average, I spent $20-$50 on thngs to put into a box and send......sometimes I would get notes back saying that I sent them about $500 worth of stuff and they couldn't believe my generousity.... gee....I am only HAPPY to help, y'know? ----maybe that's why the hubbies were jealous...? ---they probably thought I was rich! --far from it buddy!
-----------AAAAAAAAAAAAANYWAY, my whole point for writing is this....
Without a connection in japan, I've found that the best source of finding out what's new in Japan anime-wise is NEWTYPE USA... in the back, they list what's playing on tv in Japan, and give plots of each episode, episode numbers, etc.....so if there's an ep with a plot that catches your fancy, you can look for fansubs and get what'cher looking for right out of the box without the filler. they also list what they will be running on ANIME NETWORK on DEMAND in all of it's MARKETS.... because the list varies for COMCAST, CABLEVISION, etc.... all killer, NO FILLER.... and when you pick up the newest issues of NEWTYPE, they have an ad for TM REVOLUTION's newest cd which has a gatefold cover of a girl looking over her new body of gynoidery goodies.... ---just a head's up. ---minkwheel

Good places to pick up Anime
Lots of anime have robots/cyborgs in them... only problem is finding out which ones are worth watching!
A few resources to get anime...
http://www.tokyotosho.com - Bittorrent site which carries anime, manga and lots of other anime-related things, including music
http://www.animenfo.com - More of an anime database... easily used to lookup what a series is about and see if there are robots in them XD
As minkwheel said, Newtype USA is a great place to find out about new anime in Japan and upcoming anime in the US... and TM Revolution really is doing a lot of robotic stuff these days (/hugs poster with TMR as a robot *_*)
As for recent series with robots... mmm... in the Fall 2005 season, there's a brand new Saikano OVA: Saishu Heiki Kanojo Another Love Song that was just released like... a few weeks ago that tells the other half of the story that the original OVA series covered, Chise and the military side... Features two cyborg-girl weapons with some malfunctions/repairs, disassembly and a very cool landing sequence... Might do some screencaps.
From last season there's To Heart 2 which focuses on the ultra-cute maid-robot Multi, and has cameos of her older sister Serio
You can download these series using Bittorrent from the links above... if you have more information about the series you're looking for, i might be able to figure out more ^^;
/sitting on 260GB... no, 270GB of unwatched anime and erm... >1TB of watched stuff >.<
