The video was all I saw ... no text?
Trying to figure out exactly what that thing's doing ... it's obviously not really connected to the brain or nervous system, despite the headgear. Given the awkwardness of the turns, I'm guessing the little pack on her butt is connected to paddles that are pushing at the backs of her legs to "make" her walk. I don't think she can fully let go and enjoy the ride -- I bet if she doesn't focus on helping it out, she'll fall over.

There was text with it earlier this morning (UK time) but its disappeared somewhere by now!
As far as I can remember it works by an electrical signal (presumably send from the pack on her 'butt') to the brain by the clips/electrodes on her ears.By varying the power of the signal, and of course which ear the signal is sent to designates which direction it makes the person walk in.
No actual contact to the brain (aaw!) but the signals from those things on her ears do send electrical impulses to the brain which sounds like fun to me.
Try this link for some text details, worked for me a minute ago,

There is a dicussion on slashdot too
For a quick summary, read the following news at slashdot:
http://slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=05/0 ... 29&tid=126
An even quicker summary:
The device distorts your sense of balance, and when you instinctively try to compensate, you veer sideways.
Some slashdotters claimed they where at the conference and tried it. They confirm it works.

It's amusing to see someone trying to make that particular idea into a reality.
During the last few years, I've often wondered what the chances are that someone in this world, say from Japan for instance, is marketing a toy to be sold in an adult forum that actually allows one person to send signals to another person through a remote control.
It wouldn't have to do anything like transmit signals directly to the brain or create a challenge for walking any direction other than the one ordered. It would simply be an aid for role-playing and nothing more.
To my knowledge there is no such thing yet.
