Well, about that US Law. Yeah, it is absurd, but at the moment it's the cost of doing business. (trust me, I'm being very gentle as to how I think about this stuff) But the primary thing is that they need to find the paperwork for each DVD that they've made. I'm pretty sure they didn't willingly take those items off the shelves, they were forced to do it under the threat of possible litigation.

Out of curiousity, just what is the copyright law being cited here? Is it USC 2257 (All persons appearing in sexually explicit media must be 18 years of age at the time of production)?

On what level is that an unreasonable restriction?

I assume they're talking about the new law called "2257." There's more info about it at http://www.gnn.tv/forum/thread.php?id=6285. Basically anyone posting erotic images is required to maintain records on everyone appearing in them, and make those records available to law enforcement whenever they happen to ask, or face serious jail time. I haven't looked into this in a great deal of detail myself, so I'm not going to editorialize about it further.
