I really couldn't make any sense out of that page ... so many links and none of them obviously pointing to something interesting.
As for no smiles, I guess when it comes to the mouth of one of those things, smiling is not the most important design consideration if you know what I mean.

Realdolls made within the last 1 or 2 years have interchangeable faces. This is a pretty good system that saves many recent realdoll owners a little money ($500 for a new face versus $6000 + storage space for a an entirely new RD) if they're willing to restrict their choice of skin colors and cope with the seam introduced in making the face a separate item from the rest of the RD body.
It also precludes the use of blinking eyes - every face is pretty much frozen in one expression or another.
