So, I guess this has been out since last August. Has anyone seen it? The live action movie, I mean.

It's kind of unlikey.....yet. It's been released in Japan, but has made it's way only to Montreal and Rome for festivals so far. Hopefully we will at least see an import DVD release soon. I have no idea how it did at the Box Office in Japan

Got the DVD, it's purest Japanese ditzy cute saccharine/wild anime action with some nifty SFX thrown in.

Satoh is a great-looking gal with a lovely outfit (though the nekkid parts are a bodysuit), but there is nothing remotely robotic about her aside from stuff like glowing red hot and such.

Not very ASFR at all, but anime fans will probably enjoy it.
I'm still putting my money on the live action Gunnm flick.

One weird bit is that the supposedly female villains are almost all played by men, spoiling some of the cake in that department ...

I mentioned a while ago about this "movie"....and the newer "retelling" of CUTEY HONEY'S legend in anime form on video this year......I was looking forward to the live action thingy, but knew it wasn't going to be exactly what I would've done......they didn't ask me to direct, dangit! ....I guess the next thing that Hollywood will butcher will be the TRANSFORMERS movie for next summer. --I"ll go dig myself a nice big HOLE now. --minkwheel
