Megaman X Command Mission

Post by Kriegsaffe No. 9 » Sun Jan 16, 2005 8:27 pm

Understandably not quite the cup of tea of most of the guys/gals/its/whatevers, Megaman X Command Mission (PS2, Gamecube) is nonetheless a decent game--a derivative combat system, and a plot that's cheesy as all out, but fun. Plus: An endless, unyielding wave of android women.

Lemmie repeat: Endless. Unyielding. Wave.

You get two femmedroids in your third mission--an adorable nurse 'bot and a spunky, bouncy thief (that wears hot pink, for whatever reason). While lacking in obvious antics (powerup/down, etc.), they "break down" when their health hits 0, transform into niftier costumes when going into hyper mode, and have a combination of obviously-robotic and humanlike features.

If you like the Anime Look, and don't mind a heaping helpin' of corny plotline (then again, a community that survived the wake of the Stepford Wives remake should just brush the hilariously generic plot off), I'd reccomend it.

Bonus Points: The nurse-bot, Cinnamon, has the most random cutsey name I've ever seen given to a healer. You'd think that Peppermint might be more appropriate given her white-and-blue motif.

Sorry I don't have pictures onhand...

Ironic that the typical anime Holy Hell Those Eyes Are Big look adds to the thousand-yard-stare, eh?

I've always liked the whole "anime fembot" deal...especially the girls from megaman. Maybe capcom will be nice and make us a specialty artbook in this topic one day. :)

Oh, that's just begging for this:

Cinnamon Girl

[by Neil Young]

I wanna live with a cinnamon girl
I could be happy the rest of my life
With a cinnamon girl.

A dreamer of pictures I run in the night
You see us together, chasing the moonlight,
My cinnamon girl.

Ten silver saxes, a bass with a bow
The drummer relaxes and waits between shows
For his cinnamon girl.

A dreamer of pictures I run in the night
You see us together, chasing the moonlight,
My cinnamon girl.

Pa sent me money now
I'm gonna make it somehow
I need another chance
You see your baby loves to dance
Yeah...yeah...yeah.
