I'll admit Negima was a tough manga to get into. I plunged into it too quickly without knowing what Akamatsu's style was like but I got accustomed to it.

The "stile" is denudating middle school girls for a prepubescent boy. Chachamaru is the only exception as is the only one that looks older than a middle school girl, still, the boy, being prepubescent does not get the sexual innuendos of "charging" chachamaru.

I think she gets repaired a bit after that. My memory of the recent chapters has been spotty since I'm reading a lot of other manga at the same time.

That, and also the fact everyone's voice is so damn constant, reading it word for word can get very masochistic.
