Sure, if you put up the legal defense fund for copyright violation.
Filesharing is illegal but hard to enforce.
Actually making physical copies and shipping them through the mail (using govt employees to deliver illegal goods)
makes you elligible for prosecution under many more regulations.
Plus it's really simple to track down the senders and receivers.
Also, many of the best ASFR are from the indie producers, and we don't want to screw them over.
It's a nice dream though.
Someday every movie and TV show ever made will be available on-demand for a reasonable fee. We just have to wait. It's already starting with iTunes video, etc.
