Well thats OK if you have a partner and a love life, for me both matters are irrelevant and likely to stay that way!
Will give 1 of Keraptis's great works 'The Offer' a shout on that front as the concept of that was humans turned into robot machines who when off duty did seem capable of a 'strong' love life! Think I'm more like singleton Wendy (if I remember her name right?) who found love hard to find but became the lynchpin for so many others.
I guess me personally I'd be happy to go 'full time' straight from the start but I suppose it would be interesting to spend 2,3 or even 5 years say as a robot and then make the final decision on the rest of my life. Not sure I'm bothered about partial will, but at least partial awareness of what was happening would be nice

There is a movie (i don't remember the title right now)... about fembots that are in fact normal females but their brains was grown around a crystal since they were just embrions. That crystal plays the role of a computer that is connected to the organic parts and controls all mind processes...

This is an interesing idea and may even prove to be possible when the science will be able to explain all mind processes. Then brain implants would be first available for those suffering of brain diseases like epilepsy, then will be further used for other problems like emotional disorders ;) and so on.

In Ghost In the Shell, they're cyborgs not androids.

My 2 cents...

For me, part of the fun would be going to buy a new fembot, picking it out, activating it, etc. Having the fembot learn and grow to know my likings etc. is also a big part of the fantasy. Personally, I think it would be unfair to a transformed female to be reprogrammed and made to do whatever I wanted all the time.
The other problem I have with a transformed woman is that I'm not looking for a fembot with a lifetime of emotional baggage. No offense to anyone, but a true fembot to me needs to not have a past that can "get in the way".

As for real women acting like androids, does it for me!

Would have thought the whole point of transforming a woman would be to remove all emotional baggage, and indeed all natural emotions, just leaving her new programming behind. Thats certainly what I'm looking for I must admit, just to simply become an obedient programmed machine or fembot

Steph, I dont want to knock you, but I have a question I want to ask you...

Asside from the programing things, there is one problem that always made me sort of stray from the idea. The problem being that, while it would be awesome, would you want to be paying so much for everything that comes along with it?

I mean, assuming the fembot industry will be like the computer industry then the technology used would be outdated within five or six years. And, to keep yourself top-of-the-line and able to interface with whatever new technology comes out you would have to pay a whole lot of money to get the new parts.

Plus, there comes the political stigmas likely involved. It is largely beleved that there will be laws to discriminate against sentient machines, like not being able to own property or being barred from some places, would you really want all that?

I'm not trying to change your mind here, just curious as to what you think of those.

Fembot-fem,
I dont regard that as knocking at all, indeed its a very fair set of questions.

The main problem I see with your theory concerning my fembot transformation seems almost to be a clash of logics. The assumption that I would have any choice in the matter concerning upgrades etc seems to suggest that as a fembot I would have high sentient levels, either the same as, or not far behind human standards of awareness. At least part of the great desire of being robotised for me is to be totally controlled. I admit some level of awareness of what I've been turned into would be nice (so I can 'enjoy the ride') but to be honest I want to know I'm controlled, and not having total free thought. So in that sense it wouldnt be my choice on upgrades of body or programming, but those of the person controlling me. I'm assuming they would want to keep their fembot looking good and functioning well so I assume I would be provided with all suitable upgrades.
I suppose theoretically if I was changed into a full awareness fembot then logic says I would be able to carry on working, and with my enhanced thought capability probably hold down a very good, and well paid job. And of course no danger of Maternity leave with a fembot! Therefore paying for all the best programmes, body upgrades and of course computer interface enhancements wouldnt be a problem. And of course if I was redesigned prettily enough I'd probably have men chasing after me to care for my needs anyway!
Fembot rights, well ironically I agree that fembot rights should be minimal, living singly in a property would probably be tricky anyway in case of 'minor hitches' unless she is provided with some sort of self assessment/repair chamber to go into when she has problems. Probably also her overnight recharging unit I guess. Limit on places where she could go, well sheer logic says she wouldnt be allowed to take up any sports on a serious level because of things like enhanced strength, speed of thought, reaction etc because it would be unfair on female humans. Equally I could see limits on places of gambling (casinos and the like) because of thought processor speed at card games especially, and also because of possible electro manipulation of gaming machines.

But equally look at the benefits of a highly sentient and intelligent fembot, an illness epidemic, here is a nurse/doctor who cant get sick! And could work round the clock to boot. Programme her to be a surgeon anytime you need to! She wont need to stop after a few hours precise work. Air flights to Australia from the UK wouldnt be a problem for a fembot stewardess with tiredness.

Believe me when I say I dont regard these things mentioned as a problem, roll on my fembotisation while I can still enjoy the process!
