This might not be the time or the place, but I consider Steph a friend, and when she didn't reply to my recent PM, I checked her board activity and saw she hadn't posted since November! I know Steph has medical issues, and was wondering if anyone, and I do mean ANYONE, here has any clue what's going on with her. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.

R.I.P. Stephaniebot / Robotunit8
Sometime around Nov. 2nd, Stephaniebot passed away, according to a couple of posts I ran across on Twitter. I couldn't find much in specific details, except that her online activity sharply dropped off after mid-December 2019. Given how prolific she was across so many communities, I’m hoping someone here can confirm, or at least link to other sites that would share our mourning.

That's a shame, she was a great member of the community. Anything we could do as a community to celebrate her memory?

I really didn't need to hear this, but thank you for sharing.
She was always an incredibly positive personality through just about anything.
She will be missed.

Doing a little digging it seems they were still posting to Twitter in December?

Damn, that's messed up.
I didn't really know her (neither did we interact a lot), damn shame nonetheless.
My thoughts go out to her friends and family

I barely ever post anything, but figured I should do so for such a long-time and respected member. I only interacted with her personally a few times, but she was always very nice and pleasant, as she was with everyone it seemed. Condolences to her friends and family.

She was one of the most active members and her absence was certainly felt. Rest in peace.

Holy crap we shared a mutual friend, though I later unfriended her I believe cos we ended up not having much in common... Weird how close we end up being sometimes...User1222 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 20, 2020 9:19 am Doing a little digging it seems they were still posting to Twitter in December?

Sadly I don't think there's a Facebook fembot group.DollSpace wrote: ↑Fri Nov 20, 2020 4:57 pmHoly crap we shared a mutual friend, though I later unfriended her I believe cos we ended up not having much in common... Re: R.I.P. Stephaniebot / Robotunit8
I meant I unfriended our mutual friend. I may not have had I known she was friends with StephanieBot. There is not a Fembot Facebook group, as most of us tend to want to preserve at least a *little* of our anonymity, I think, but I do know several of us actually *have* them. Oh well. Six degrees of separation and all that. She's still going to be missed.User1222 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 20, 2020 10:42 pmSadly I don't think there's a Facebook fembot group.DollSpace wrote: ↑Fri Nov 20, 2020 4:57 pmHoly crap we shared a mutual friend, though I later unfriended her I believe cos we ended up not having much in common... She was one of the most enthusiastic people here. Had no idea she even had health issues until that post asking about her sudden absence earlier this year.

We weren't connected on Facebook, but on Twitter, we had several mutual friends, almost all of them from the classic movie world. She was a big booster of the TCM Fest, though I don't recall if she ever came to attend in person. How serendipitous such wild interests overlap. Sorrowed by her passing.

I'm so very sorry to hear this. I've been a lurker here for a long time, and had a couple of brief, friendly, messages exchanges with her. When you read someone's posts on a regular basis for years, that person becomes a part of your life, and it's a loss even if you never knew them IRL.

I’m sorry to hear that. Tho it was never likely, it’s too bad she didn’t make it to when people could live on in bodies of their own choice.
Who knows - per one interpretation of the many worlds theory, there are versions of her who live on and will until that becomes possible.
But for our timeline, Rest In Peace.

Re: R.I.P. Stephaniebot / Robotunit8
I’ve been digesting this news for a few days and wanted to pay my respects. In my relatively few interactions with her, and in her general presence on the board, she was never anything but pleasant, positive, and enthusiastic. I don’t know if I appreciated those qualities enough when she was around.
I know she had health issues, and I hope that she’s free from suffering now.

Re: R.I.P. Stephaniebot / Robotunit8
Sad news, indeed.
I always enjoyed Steph's unique sense of humor - it was clear she didn't take the fetish, or herself too seriously. Always a good sport; not shy about jumping feet first into whatever silliness Minkwheel or myself {or both of us} were engaged in; and occasionally a pretty astute - yet also HILARIOUSLY droll - observer of the human condition in general, usually when some hotshot celebutard pulled an epic fail in public.
I also reluctantly note that {AFAIK} Steph is the first "greybeard" to cross over; her tenure on this board stretches back to the turn of the century, if not before then.
Thus, I humbly salute her, and sincerely wish her godspeed on the next leg of her journey. She'll be well and truly missed.

Re: R.I.P. Stephaniebot / Robotunit8
Oh my god! I'm so shocked and saddened by this.
She was only around 60 - so young in this day and age - I feel like she should have had so much life still ahead of her.
She was a lovely person and I hope that as whatever soul or spirit or space dust we finite bodies become she finds her way to a curvy, glossy machine and becomes one with it. She always wanted the "Maria" look from Metropolis - that was her ideal - so I'll put her here, to represent Stephaniebot, the amazing, beautiful machinic soul who graced this forum for so long, and enriched so many lives with her positivity and upbeat spirit.
In Memorium: Stephaniebot
You will be greatly missed

I don't have much to say as we weren't exactly close but to me, she's in the fembot hall of fame. I've been a lurker for a long time and it seems that she's here ever since I've known this place/community. Her presence will be missed.

May your gears never rust in your heaven
May your hair shine as it never did
May your chrome shell never scratch
And may your smile never be hid
Stephaniebot has been around as long as I have on this board. She never had a cross word or a demeaning manner. IMO, that's one less beautiful soul that the world sorely needs. She will be missed. And I, for one, will lift a glass in her honor. Rest easy, Stephaniebot.
