Hi All
I've got a couple of stories that I have been working on for ages.
I would like to develop a model classification system to use in story for the various fembot characters that I will create. I would like it to have some internal logic. Currently working on a story set in a theme park staffed with androids in all the various roles, maintenance, repair, admin and of course the hosts that the human guest would interact with.
What would you suggest?
What examples in other stories that I might want to look at as a model?
Thanks in Advance.

Re: Model Classification System
For the LaMarquise Robotics' mainline the nomenclature is vague - a letter for the year and a number for the month, which doesn't mean much since in-universe they're all custom-built. For their other products and FUNTRONICS', I go with a simpler scheme: a descriptive name (Home Assistant, eBimbo, eBae, eLady, eToy, eEscort...) and stick a number after it like the iPhones to show progression.

I follow the Stark Principle (as in Tony Stark): Mark ___, Model ___ .
Elvis Lives. Not in this timeline, but in quite a few others.

Re: Model Classification System
How about... a Series 1 to 10.
The Series 7 to 8 are human-like but definitely not human to an observer, either being of dissimilar materials ( 7) to looking much like a mannequin (a series 8 ).
The 9's are close but definitely not human close up or in certain actions they take.
The 10's are hard to tell from a human.
The 1 to 6 models are not human at all being anything from an intelligent coffee maker (say a 1 or 2) to something that's more sophisticated, like a general purpose domestic unit that might be a 6.
You can make finer distinctions by adding a decimal unit that designates intelligence. So, a 10.1 looks very human but is totally "blonde" if you will. That is, not very smart. A 10.9 would be virtually human. A 2.8 would be pretty smart but look like say, a toaster oven.
That way you can easily describe appearance and AI capacity which, I would think, are the two really important aspects you'd want to measure.

I too can use the feedback on model classifications as well.
Sometimes you just gotta look at the Bryte side!

Re: Model Classification System
In my manips, I use this system:
CK-HR0000X ZZ-0000
CK > ChocolateKeys, the glorious company
HR (optional) > Used to label "human like" machines
0000 > 4 numbers, higher = more advanced
X (optional) > Something "special" in this model
ZZ-0000 > ID code

English isn't my first language (and still isn't a second...). So, if i commit some mistake, PLEASE inform me.
