Neat! How awesome would it be if "everyday" functional robots (including artificial companions, of course ;) ) were made with these human tissues, and you regularly brought your robot in for tissue donation and scheduled maintenance? Multiple problems solved with one solution - better skin grafts and tissues for human patients, real skin for artificial companions of various kinds (and I'm not just thinking of "us" but home care/nurse robots for the sick and elderly, too.)

(Sorry - my comments are obvious, I just find this really exciting :dancing: )

I'm not sure if these could even be called true robots- it sounds like they're little more than scaffolds for cultured tissue and not much else.
