A great film writer I regularly follow did a "Series Project" where he watched every single Stepford film, including the TV movies.

No, he's not going to tell you how cool any of the malfunctions are, but he does get at why this series has held so much interest even though each installment has declined in quality.

Corey, the series has not held any interest among audience. No one knows about the t.v. movies. They were made only because someone with nothing better to do got the rights.
Like Bewitched, The Stepford Wives was abruptly remade three decades later - not because there was any demand, or a life-long fan/writer with a genius re-interpretation, but rather for lifeless, stupid monetary reasons.
