Remember that bit in "Back to the Future Part III" where Doc Brown of 1955 mocks a component of 1985 as shoddy because it was made in Japan? The response: "All the best stuff is made in Japan." Made in 2011, that same joke could be about China or India. But what happens by the time lifelike fembots are ready to be mass-produced? By that time we could be talking about the resurgent manufacturing of Iceland or Afghanistan or Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Whomever manages to create the artificial skin that's cheapest and most realistic will win out. I know I'll be first to invest in their company.
