Im not sure about other countries but here in the uk we have a subculture called cyber goth where girls and guys dress as robots, cyborgs etc in either a post apocalyptic or futuristic clothing often using circuitry and real wiring and such as accessories.
We also have clubs for this such as Nunnery of Noise and Nightmare where they play bleepy music and often have themes such as 'Come dressed as your favourite sexy robot from a movie'. Its where I go to dance.
Does this happen anywhere else in the world?

Sorry for the threadomancy but yes I know about Cybergoth being a rivethead myself. Rivetheads were kind of the first wave with our early Noise and Indusrtial music but lately the Industrial and Gothic subcultures have kind of blended together. Cybergoth is one of the latest trends to have arrived and I love it because it introduced some neon colors into my "black hole"-wardrobe. I also no longer have to explain why I'm earing cogs and other tech gear on my clothing
Also the people just look amazing and are now really experimenting with their wardrobes.
Still more of a rivethead than cyber myself though.
