2046?

I just rented 2046 from netflix. Has anybody seen it?

Ugh, I hear that.

The history of this film drives me crazy. Apparently
Wong Kar Wai (?) started this "film" as a striaght-up sci-fi movie about androids and humans in love.
Then he chucked most of it out the window and started again with this guy in a room WRITING about the sci-fi story, which sucks for us.

Who knows how much gynoid footage was shot, or left on the cutting room floor? We know that a couple short snippets of film in the movie and in the trailer (but not in the movie) show that there was a lot of gynoid story and scenes there.

Maybe someday, there will be an ultimate DVD.
The French version of the DVD does have some cutscenes which appeared on Youtube, but they weren't particularly gygnoidey, and were not the full scenes from which the little snips of gynoid-ness were part.
