I see in robot technology a potential new creative tool for the man of the future.

I think robotics will be a key element for the survival of our species and the incorporation of new materials into nature's physical information systems, the means for a homo deus independently of how dread or grand the transition is.
I am just human and I cant help visualize my type of humans as those things, and I can't help see my things as more perfect if they sport parts that resemble the parts I like in my type of humans.

Artificial intelligence one day will be a racial slur.

But I have a lesbian friend who thinks it is just logical that males eventually became extinct in nature so maybe I am just justifying my damaged psyche.

Thank you for your unique input on the topic, NightBattery. If we're gonna make robots, let's make 'em our friends.

Besides a mild taboo element I won't go into much, robots/androids/machines are the ultimate expression of perfection and consent. A machine would never (assuming precautions were taken) do something you'd not like. They have the ultimate "safe word" as you can trust they would do as you said. A robot would be the ultimate partner; they'd never forget an important date, they'd always want to do what you are interested in doing, they would always have time for you, they would never betray you or hurt your feelings. They come with no emotional baggage. When you want them, they are there, when you don't then they are perfectly fine without you. You never feel pressure to do something and one could be happy together just existing near each other. I know my answer might sound boring though.
But you see, you can't differentiate between a robot and the very best of humans. ~ Isaac Asimov (I, Robot)
