I've seen this movie, last year, at the Toronto International Film Festival

The artificial females certainly act inhuman, but I'm not sure 'robotic' is quite the way to describe it. They _do_ act largely unemotionally, and they have a nice 'pause for calculation - deliberate action' thing going.

No circuitry anywhere, though.

I did read about it, and it has the woman who played the sexy-in-a-weird-way tribal dictator in "The Beach", and since recognizing her I figured it would be some small budget indy sci-fi meditation on humanity.

Funny. In Singapore, our idea of adult films is usually classified Restricted (Artistic) and shown to only people above 21 years of age. Covers all the bases, no?
