ASFR Elements Poll Preliminary Results Thread

Post by D.Olivaw » Wed Nov 21, 2018 2:14 pm

The first chart shows the votes for each category.

Image

The second shows the proportional favorability of each, that is, the proportion of votes cast for that fetish as a turn-on relative to the total votes cast for and against it.

Image

Finally, we have the intensity of voter opinion on each fetish. This is how many votes were cast on that particular fetish (turn-on + turn-off) proportional to the average.

Wow. It's actually kind of fascinating to see that disassembly ranks lower than destruction and damage, even if only slightly so in the case of the latter.
"If the time should ever come when what is now called science, thus familiarized to men, shall be ready to put on, as it were, a form of flesh and blood, the Poet will lend his divine spirit to aid the transfiguration, and will welcome the Being thus produced, as a dear and genuine inmate of the household of man."

Wow "D"! - did you do all this just for the community, or are you doing research you're planning on publishing?
If you're not planning on publishing, I'd love to find a way to incorporate your analysis into something (I'm doing the edits on my dissertation now, and they might not let me feature it there, but maybe we could collaborate on an article on technosexualities or something in the future if you're open to it.) My work is primarily qualitative, but you did so much great work here, I feel like there should be some way to showcase it if you're not planning to publish. Anyway - send me a PM if you're interested in talking about your methods and analysis further - I'd love to hear or see more!

Non human finish
For example, the original robot in Metropolis. Female equivalent to Gort would be another example. Pretty much any robot design that doesn't leave you wondering if its actually a human, or not

Malfunctions - Over the top
Pretty much anything that brings a robot to a total halt. You know, all the robot does is malfunction, nothing useful to its owner/controller in any way
I'm just a 'girl' who wants to become a fembot whats wrong with that?

As explained in the poll posts:
Non-Human Finish (i.e. chrome or ME2/3 Edi-Style polymer)
A la:

Malfunctions - Over the Top (heads exploding and such)
Think Rexxy's stories, or CWButterfly's animations.
