I want to know...because now I have a much better computer that can handle that sort of thing. I'm also thinking about buying a 3-D game maker...that will of course have ASFR content in it if I get it...

Here's the page where you can download DAZ. It can use most Poser files.
There's a couple of free human figures on the DAZ site as well - Michael 3 and Aiko 3 (a manga-ish female figure).
Another free female figure is Maya Doll.
I just use a Gmail address for Renderosity, so Hotmail or any other webmail address should work fine.

Yeah - anything more complex & you're going to want to dabble in Maya, Lightwave, Poser, 3DSmax (or whatever it's called) but they're quite costly.

DAZ Studio is a very capable program. I don't know what sort of 'bots you want to make, but it's possible to do quite a bit with texture maps (not to mention bump maps) for things like metallic skin, open circuit panels, etc. In addition, a search on Renderosity will turn up a number of robots (usually the clunky type), cybernetic parts, at least one Sorayama helmet and (IIRC) a few robotic "implants."
It takes a bit of effort to experiment and learn how things work - but that's going to be true of any program.

If you want to try modeling from scratch, you can get Blender 3d for free.\
Get it here.
And if you get it, here's a nice tutorial for you.
Maya also has a free, limited version now (unless they've discontinued it recetly).
