Forry is no more

Post by Rotwang » Sat Dec 06, 2008 4:28 am

Forrest J Ackerman passed away at 92. He was bar none the most dedicated fans of science fiction and loved the film Metropolis, and even built a full scale replica of the robot in the 60's.

If ever somebody deserved an honourary ASFR award, it would be Uncle Forry.

The man who invented the word sci-fi. He lived to an old age but it's sad to hear it wasn't in good health. RIP
