Does anyone know what happened to www.pcgamemods.com?

I used to frequent www.pcgamemods.com (notice I didn't post it as a URL; you'll find out why in a minute) for Jedi Academy models, maps and other stuff. Unfortunately, the site was shut down repeatedly until...well, I don't remember the exact time it was permanently taken offline, but it's no longer operational. If anyone remembers it---or, more specifically, what happened to it---I'd be really grateful; a friend of mine was involved in a flame war on their message boards and would like to have some closure (I can't go into details 'cuz the aforementioned flame war was insanely brutal).

Okay, I answered part of my own question. Apparently the domain name for pcgamemods.com expired and is now being used as....something else entirely. What I still don't know is why the site is no longer what it once was---a website dedicated to modifications for Star Wars: Jedi Academy, DooM 3, and other such games. If anyone is wondering about that blistering flame war that I mentioned in my first post on this topic, all I can say is that it was about someone who claimed to have reskinned a Darth Nihlus model into a Grim Reaper model when, in fact, the creator of this thing simply took the screenshots in an insanely dark area of a dark map. (and how do I know this, you ask? Because that friend of mine who was logged on to the forums showed me the screenshots.)

Forgive me for being so maudline (can't remember if that's how you spell that word), but my friend and I simply want some closure. Any information on what the Hell happened to the once-great www.pcgamemods.com will be greatly appreciated.
