Asking something about machine guns

Post by liliwinnt6 » Sat Jul 15, 2017 5:51 pm

How do you have ammo with disintegrating belts for a belt-fed machine gun like M60 or M249? Do you load the belt with some kind of tool or just buy some?
Fellas, you may address me as Boris, my ID could be troublesome for you to call me.

Most links are just a matter of sliding in a round into the link, match the tab of the first link with the second link, insert round, wash, rinse, repeat.

There are a number of tools and jigs to do so, they usually automate the whole procedure, feeding ammo into the links and pushing them along until you belt is finished. Some are hand cranked, others are larger electrically powered machines.
