Anyone else sickened by the solar flare last night?

Post by dale coba » Sat Sep 13, 2014 4:38 am

itching, couldn't sleep, nauseous, crazy detailed, not unpleasant dreams; walking around a version of college reunions all night. an actress I had watched last night was there, hanging out with me, no big deal, we were all a bit drunk

I walked into a courtyard, but they were set up for a sports group of alumni (not a big deal, no sense of rejection, just stumbling into someone else's reunions)

I remember dialogue. Two people ask me if I knew which Stephen King movie a sign with a picture of a town on it came from. I answered, "Salem's Lot". We reminisced about an actual funny story from Freshman year.

My recently departed friend, my only RW friend, was back from the dead, re-incarnated into a mouse He didn't have much to say about that; but in a pure example of his personality, he was complaining at great length about the service he got at a diner [as a human, before he died] I said to him, it was curious how dying and coming back as a mouse hadn't changed his character in any way. He kept on explaining his rant.

If you did feel something last night, you can probably take solace that you aren't the most freakish member of FC.

I had a dream where Death (as the Grim Reaper) escorted me through a Walmart, and I was given a pair of strategy guides by the Winter Soldier.....

I had a freakish nightmare today too.
something happened before but i can't remember, I was given responsibility over a coop fenced in a circle of chicken wire containing desert tortoises, Gila monsters and other gentle not mammalian-bird like beings.
The place was a filthy rock beach full of dead vegetation washed in the shore (doesn't actually exist) very near my work place. I didn’t wanted the responsibility because those animals had nothing to do with my work and i wasn't going to obtain any compensation, and I had a lot of stuff to do and there were a lot of people that could do that instead me, i was explained that everybody was busy in something else and that there was no other way.
Eventually my superior asked me about the animals after some weeks, I had forgotten.
We ran to the animals and they were all dead, rotten, blackened, eye sockets empty, there was nothing to do, the guilty made me feel a terrible feeling of despair that stayed with me all the morning.

Jeebis, Battery. That's... a hell of an awful dream.

I slept like a baby, right through a freaking SOLAR FLARE! Guess I can sleep through anything.

Wjbaines,
Like you, someone I know in Oregon mentioned that he slept very, very soundly that night.
I haven't got a medical theory for that, but it sounds like a good sign of sleep health!

Battery,
With elements like my only friend who died last month coming back as a mouse, my dream had elements that should have been disturbing, but really weren't. I know I did everything possible to support and keep him alive; and though he was only 44, I had years to come to terms with the inevitable. I'm a very unhappy guy, but my mind is not angry/doesn't blame itself.

I think you may be in the opposite place, and if so I hope you can find some peace and be less hard on yourself. :bighug: Or stop dreaming.

You knew they weren't managing that place right. You dreamed about expecting things to go badly, and possibly being blamed. You felt bad because you can't magically will the management into being better. Now they are paying the price, either because a fire started because they couldn't keep the place clean, or because they really pissed-off some fool of an employee who set a fire.

Totally unrelated to solar flares. I vaguely remember reading this story a long time ago. So either I am a psychic or Battery practises the high art of trolling. :applause:
