Excellent find, content-wise. Downloading it one page at a time was a little slow though. Here's a link to where you can download a chapter at a time.

The story is cute and doesn't shy away from the character being a robot. It's about a student at Tokyo University who's obsessed with a girl from the Tennis club. Since she's far too beautiful and he's far too geeky to approach directly, he decides to build a robot copy of the girl. Of course the girl finds out about her robot double and wacky hyjinks ensue, but the robot has a very lifelike personality and is portrayed well.

There are some panels where body-parts are detatched with wiring trailing from them, a couple of "robo-vision" shots and robotic problems (motors overheating or being overpowered, resulting in super-strength). The writer/artist did a good job of designing her as well. There aren't any mysterious multi-purpose plot devices built into her (like Bender's door or antenna) and there are is plenty of visual evidence that even though she looks and acts human, she's not.

ADV Films released a 3-episode anime about this under the title "Metal Angel Marie" or a direct translation "My Dear Marie". I haven't found any downloads of the episodes but I've had a copy for a little while and it follows the same plot as the manga.

Yeah, this is one of the genuine gems. A cute
story, romance, a ton of humor and just a bit of
sadness, all in a scant three episodes. The
short length of this story really made me want
more.
