So somewhat relevant, but the apparently the Taylor Swift deepfakes have raised the question about whether using a person's image without their permission should be legal. I'm intrigued to see how this unfolds and/or potential impacts even basic manips.

Having lived through the debacle that was/is the DMCA and a non resident of the USA land, I expect the mostly senile and decrepit puppets of corporations will draft the laws will far reaching implications.
