I have some images i made and oh wow look here they are

Post by TheDman » Thu Apr 06, 2017 10:24 am

So I've been lurking on this site for quite a while now and I've done a whole bunch of manips and stuff in my spare time, i figured it was only right that i post some of the better stuff as something of a general thank you for years of content i have consumed on this site without giving back.

Apologies for some of the images being FUCKING GIGANTIC, i didn't really think about the size when i was making them

I did a lot of these ages ago, more recently I've been experimenting in Daz Studio and here is some of that stuff.

I'm getting much better at Daz the more i work with it, if people are interested i'll try and post more of the stuff i make.

Your Daz | Studio stuff is very impressive. I've never been comfortable working with it, so kudos to you!

Fantastic renders. I'm guessing the rendering engine is either Iray or Octane?

Thanks for the kind words guys. I'm using Iray since it's really easy to use and as long as I keep the scene relatively small i can render things quite quickly, also i'm lazy and learning something new takes effort.

I've used Iray before. Pretty impressive speed/quality trade-off with most renders. Getting the lighting just right is the trick though, otherwise you get too much "grain" in an image.

Well a little trick i do is bump the resolution of the image up super high, like 4000x3000 or something, then reduce it to half the size in an image editor. I'm not sure exactly how Iray functions but rendering things extremely large does not add time to a render and the graininess is smoothed out a lot when you reduce the image. This is one of the images before and after i reduced it's size and did some other stuff in photoshop.

Wow, the renders in particular are really skillfully done. Nice to have yet another talented person on the site!
