Well that's good to know, because there is NO shortage of source material at that message board. Quite a lot of those images wound lend themselves well to being manipulated. Perfect poses and lighting in so many of them.

Yeah, I get this might be a bit of a stretch, because a fembot used for public appearances should have been programmed to deal with paradoxes and non-binary stuff. But if that was to be the case, there wouldn't be a story to tell. So here's that.

Semi-disposable, like plastic milk crates stolen from behind the grocery store!

Tech paradigms change so fast.

Smartphone thefts are plummeting because of kill-switch software.
Soon, smartphones will have no resale value.
Next, other products will get kill-switches and no longer be stolen.
Motorcycles and cars can only be killed while off.

I think fembots will stop being stolen before they become cheap enough to not care about the thefts.

Nah man, the future is gloriously anti-DRM. Pirate scenes and crack teams ridicule corporate efforts to enshrine the way they want us to use their products, and with the nuclearization of the internets, they become harder and harder to root out.

Everyone gives the government their location data at all times through their phones, and with that comes the content of all their phone conversations, texts, browser history. The U.S. spies have put back doors into usb cables and Western Digital hard drives - everything else, too, most likely; in time, certainly. Power is consolidating around a military-spying-industrial class. Market forces have yet to demonstrate any positive ability to rebuff the violations of our rights.

My mind on the tech question was set by an episode of Stargate ("Tangent"). The moral of the story is: Don't attempt to reverse-engineer a Goa'uld death glider. The more complex and large the tech, the more chances to embed some truly nasty, deeply hidden back doors and contingency routines (BOOM!).

Can she detect she has been stolen? Trivially easy.
Can you wipe out every piece of her code? (drastic, necessary)
You can try, but have you removed ALL of her code?

How can you ever trust that a deep routine won't go off?

Thanks, actually there's a bunch of stuff here that's been lying in my manipulation folder for a while now - I pretty much emptied it. Like, BAttempt dates back around when BA uploaded this picture in the Photo manip workshop.
