That's the idea! I think we all know that the only way "we" will ever get the type of content we really want is to just make it ourselves!

Hollywood's attempt to portray what we like just kinda sucks, how many more "Gino's" and "Poor objectified and oppressed" robot stories do we need? And you can only see Cherry short out so many times in your life... lol. So many stories here are great, but we have the capability now to do so much more.

And the Clips 4 sale stuff is so hit and miss. Pay $22 bucks for a flat 5 to babble about her program and stutter while doing a bad robot impression. And honestly, not be be a dick, but a lot of those girls are... meh.

I completely agree! On a sad sidenote, I had no idea in 1990 that, by 2023 that that Cherry 2000 scene would be pretty much the best we would ever see. You would think that by this time there would be a plethora of media to choose from at this point but that has not been the case. Apparently, if we want it, we have to make it happen! I've finally gotten to the point where I don't even look for anything new on clips 4 sale due to it being a complete waste of time. 99% of all robot content over the last 20 something years has been pathetic. Unless someone gives a rave review, I don't even bother gambling on it. I believe it's just a lack of complete awareness and ignorance on what "robot porn" is. At this point I don't think they will ever get it. I only have one person that I automatically buy from. I always think about if there was a way to commission real actresses (like up and coming) instead of trying to rely on ameatur porn "actresses" to fill the void but I wouldn't know where to find them.

I think a big reason there isn't more than the handful of scenes out there is science fiction as a genre is unhealthily obsessed with pessimism. So sex is always in a dark / scary context.

It's my favorite genre, and robots are one of my favorite topics (even aside from the fetish) but the result of the grim nature of most scifi storytelling is it ends up focusing so much on: slavery, existential dread, objectification, shadowy government agencies, evil AI, etc...

Some pretty low-hanging fruit has been ignored where robots can be the focus. And I think "Valerie 23" is my bullseye. Even though she goes killer robot and a few lines are tossed in about what makes something alive, that episode mostly just deals with a poorly-programmed robot being tested, and that's enough!

Take the shows that had the most potential for exploring robots as relationship partners: Humans / Akta Manniskor / Better than Us / Westworld / Extant... Had they just shown a near-future realistic world where people are living with commonplace humanoid robots, without getting side-tracked into cheesy action, shadowy governments / evil corporations, the rebellions, the magically sentient AI stuff... We might see more of what "we" are looking for on this site.

I think people who aren't really all that interested in robots are the ones who tend to write about them. So they just get lazy and make them stand-ins for real humans. And we've seen literally all there is to say in that regard.

Comedies could be a good venue for playing around with sex robots. But again, the worst writers always seem to take that on, and everything gets so cheesy, sweaty and nervous. That recent film "Robots" had plenty of talent on screen, but the script was so stupid!

Not sure what the block is for people writing about robots. Just explore what's really interesting about machines that look and act like people, but aren't people... There's still ample opportunity for making it all about the human condition, and there's a wealth of unexplored material there.

Seems like a failure of imagination. If I can ever finish one of the few screenplays I'm working on (that aren't just straight up robo porn) I'm always aiming to make an indie / short. But I fear people are kind of allergic to the topic of robots in film since most properties that cover it are so terrible.

Long or short both have a place. You had enough content to carry the length in this story and it was a great watch imho - well done! A heads up on longer vids is appreciated though to make time for an in depth watch. Looking forward to ‘round 2’!
