Rubber Dolly bounces back

Post by noidguy » Thu Feb 20, 2003 9:04 pm

"Rubber Dolly", by Jack Kahler is up for bid on eBay again. I can't really recommend the book - the 'mechanical woman' only plays a small part. She's mechanical alright, but not autonomous. More like a puppet.

And, sort of in the same vein:

I just got my PAL version of "Condor" converted to NTSC format (that I purchased in Ebay sometime back)...ye gods, has it REALLY been 20+ years??? I feel old...

Though the fast food drive through fembot still looks great...I still have to wonder if she/it were real, judging from the ancient acting :P
