Well, there's a scene in this clip (near the middle) that I don't remember seeing in the pilot, where Cameron stitches up a bleeding Sarah.

If you want to save some printer ink, pick up the Jan 11 issue of Entertainment Weekly. On page 13 they have the poster of the puppetmaster based picture everyone here is talking about.

Okay, I just watched the first part of the Chronicles and it wasn't too bad. I like that she is acting a bit robotic and I hope that continues. Also I know from one of the YouTube clips that there will be at least one more female terminator that looked nice and had leg damage. Perhaps 2008 won't be so bad!

Yep! Looks good. I like how the Cameron character goes from all sweet and humanlike to "just the facts" after her cover is blown - literally. Hehe.

In that clip Keizo mentioned there is a second female terminator, but I got the impression that she was just a stunt double used to see how the make-up effects looked on film. I was thinking those effects might be used on Summer Glau, since I read somewhere that a regular character in upcoming episodes was a plastic surgeon. They would need one if Cameronbot keeps getting shot up.

Then again, I thought I did catch a glimpse of a female character getting a good strong kick from Cameron in one of the clips, so there could be another female terminator on the horizon.

So if anyone who watched it, last night and tonight, would like to comment on specifics: good or bad? I'd like to know how much they altered the leaked pilot too.

Didn't watch it myself. My patience/interest in sitting through anything other
than news,docs or instructional programs is zilch. I'd rather wait till someone
here "sells" it to me.

At present, I don't watch television either; which is ok, I tell myself, because I've never proffered data to the people who do the Neilsen ratings, so my watching or not watching has no impact on my favourite shows. So I tell myself. I've tried to download the pilot out there on the big old Internet, with my usual lack of success: if it goes up on the FTP, I'll have one less incentive to figure out BitComet.

It looks like we're going to have Hot Fembot Action on the TV for quite a while, kids. Here's a quote from today's issue of Variety...

"Boosted by strong marketing and a big NFL playoffs lead-in, the Warner Bros. TV-produced “Terminator” notched an eye-popping 7.6 rating/18 share among adults 18-49 and delivered around 18.3 million viewers with its one-hour bow Sunday at 8, according to prelim Nielsen national data. Socko perf demonstrated the value of scripted series at a time when network execs--trying to spin their ability to survive sans scribes--- have been tubthumping strong ratings for reality shows."

That's the biggest launch for any show in three years. It's also Fox's biggest launch since 2000. That means it bested the opening episodes of 24, House, Prison Break, and American Idol, just to name a few. We've got a bona-fide hit for our little corner of the world, and let's just hope it keeps going.

Just bumping this to see if anyone would like to discuss what they thought of the two part opener, and what they changed from the earlier pilot.

I missed the Sunday night airing of the pilot, so I can't say what was changed from the original idea. And I missed the first 15 minutes of the Monday night airing. What I did see of the second episode was rather uneventful.

I don't think I've seen this addressed yet but someone has to be first. If i am watching this series right , Cameron is about the same "age" as John Conners. High school age. So is finding her to be sexy or sexually desireable a pediphile feeling? I mean high school age is usually under 18 so underage. any other thoughts on this?

The actress is twenty-six. She's frequently naked during the pilot. They sort of ditch the high school cover in the first twenty minutes. It was cover. She was an agent undercover. Did I mention the actress is overage and frequently naked?
