Jessica, there is no need for sneaking around when your goal is to advertize some book you wrote. Advertizing fembot content is on-topic in the “commercial updates” section and there are plenty of other content suppliers who take the opportunity to get in contact with potential customers. So you can do, too.

Welcome, Jessica! Thanks for appearing in our neck of the internet!

I read the excerpt (?) on the blog that you linked to -- the writing, I must say, is excellent!

Thanks for joining us!

No, no, it's not about being stupid, it's all about being honest. We are perfectly okay with advertising here as long it is marked as advertizing. A lot of people on the board are willing to pay for content.

I think what you are doing is an experiment, as most people expect only video flicks with real-life porn actors to have a price, and stories to be free-of-charge, even if there is an enormous effort behind such a story. But hey, it worked for "50 shades" (beat me!), so why not.

I thought the "Hot For Teacher" entry was very thought-provoking. It's a shame that double standards like that still exist in 2016.

Funny you mention the Duran Duran video. Without getting into details I worked on a bit of that production and was quite uncomfortable for reasons only the people here would understand. It only got worse when someone on the set suggested I be the "before" fembot :(

Bought it yesterday. I'd totally recommend this. Reading it felt like plugging a cable into my brain and overloading my pleasure centers.

Book hit so many emotional triggers for me, that if someone where telling me these stories over IM chat, I would worry about being catfished.

I hope you can continue to evolve as a writer to the point you can approach subjects with a broader appeal as confidently as you do this weird and lovely niche of ours, and in turn capture a larger audience.

Ah, Jessica, you write in your blog your boyfriend is nerd-heavy and you are nerd light. That observation is clearly wrong as you write fantasy fiction, which teleports you over nerd level 80 instantly. You know, that's the level on which you don't care about wearing or not wearing those Henry Kissinger glasses because you are glad you can see what you write with them.

I started with the Kindle sample and was quickly roped in. It's refreshing to actually want to buy the book after reading the sample (given how infrequently that happens to me :/ ) The fetish tales are a treat, but the rest of the writing is breezy and sharp making it a joy to read the horrors of your upbringing!

Us robot fetish folks are, for the most part, a fair, even-tempered lot. :nerd:
