The Next 10 Years of FC

It's been in my head for a while so I decided tell everybody. What will happen to Fembot Central in the next decade?

What'll happen is that we'll see our interests and aspirations increasingly vindicated by the march of technology.
A running account will appear here.

Hopefully we'll go from a group with a common fantasy to a group with a common Hobby: Robot maintenance and customization :)

But seriously, I think we'll have more discussion threads about the RL technology, although the robot of our fantasies won't be around.

So the stories may be modestly more technical, with more real stuff to go off of. The images will benefit from more powerful software and hardware.

Well, let's see. In ten years time we will probably have at least 4 new remakes to despise. Probably a Westworld remake and it sounds like a remake of Metropolis to name a few.

The future

Post by jknight_2000 » Wed Mar 19, 2008 10:38 pm

I think within 10 years, the Japanese will have a fully functional sex robot (and it will probably look under-aged.)

Mirage will have a internet best-seller.

Noidguy will complete his collection.

And we will still be arguing about pay-per-site and porn doing better robot movies than Hollywood.

And the live-action Ghost-In-A-Shell movie will be a cult hit.

Nah, it'll just get apt, yet irritating banner ads. :P

For some reason I doubt that anyone would care :D

What I'm hoping is, there will be robot adaptations to familiar storylines. Example: Halle Barry in "Swordfish"....that character could totally have been in some sort of gynoid capacity. We've seen what James Bond spoof movies can do with fembots too; one could imagine the bona fide 007 genre inevitably using a gynoid as a central (if not title) character!

You know, bottom line, lowest expectations... as long as FC is still here in 10 years, I'll call that a win.

Anything else would be gravy.

I second Korby. Really hope the site can remain for as long as I live (I expect to live a couple more decades =P).

But as for the vision of the future.... a robot/AI contruction/customization game (3D/realistic) would be nice for those of us who can't afford or can't buy a real bot. =D
and I hope that there would be a easy-to-use fembot game maker program available somewhere on the site, so that we don't have to stick to manips all the time (you can use RAGS now, but getting the right pics in there is a real pain and the control for RAGS isn't as remote-ish as I would like =D)
(O maybe we would have a real AI hostess/representative for the site)
can't think of anything else right now.
