An Odd Fascination...

Post by Iapetus » Sat Feb 09, 2008 9:14 pm

I'm not sure if this is the right place for this, but here goes:

Over the last few years, I've developed a very strange fascination (perhaps obsession) with female A.I.'s. It's rather difficult to describe, but I was just wondering, does anybody else have this peculiar fascination?

(P.S.: Sorry if this post is somewhat disjointed, but I'm tired).

You would mean A.I.s that wouldn't have a corporeal body to call their own, right?
Canadian lighthouse to U.S. warship approaching it: This is a lighthouse; your call.

Generally speaking, yes, although not always. Sorry, I didn't realize until late last night that I probably should have clarified that bit...

No, this is the right place. But yeah female A.I.'s are cool and can completely see where you are coming from on that one.

You mean like Cortana from Halo cause she's hot :)

I suppose, but the focus of my fascination has always been more non-corporeal or at least non-anthropomorphic A.I.'s. More like GLaDOS from Portal, or a female version of HAL.

non-anthropomorphic A.I.'s.
It might be interesting to have a computer that effectively imitates human females in a robotic cat or dog or horse.

I prefer an answer machine with a female voice, and if I had a computer that talked it would also have a female voice.

But of course, I still want a fembot that even smells like a live female as well as looking and sounding like one.

Yep,otherwise the technology is here now if all one needs is a fembotic voice.
