GITS Style Cyberization

Post by Zor » Tue Oct 02, 2007 10:39 pm

Zor dusts off his Fembot Central Account and disingages lurker mode

I was wondering, are there any fics here involving Ghost in the Shell style cyberization (taking out the brain and putting it into a cybernetic body)?

There is no need for violence here, but it still damn happens

I'd love to see a few of these as well - but 'borgs seem to be, uh, underappreciated  on Fbot Central. Alas, all the relevant material around seems to be in Japanese .

Okay I'll stop blabbing now and be vaguely useful http://k5pbem.devermore.net/k5PBEM.html has a couple of stories with GITSesque cyborgs.

It's not on FBot, but...

"Iron Man: Hypervelocity"

Pure, unadulterated win.

There was a really good story called "Ashley" by Heather St Claire that used this concept. I kinda wish we had more like that. I don't remember if it's in our story archive here, but I kept a copy on my computer if you're interested.

Here's that story, which I agree is quite good from an emotional aspect; lacking a bit in the technical descriptions. Some on FC might not like the TG parts, FYI, but it's still well worth a read.
