A tag for malfunctions. (and other fembot stuff)

Post by JohnFabar4 » Thu Sep 22, 2016 1:34 pm

Hello. I have lurked here on this wiki for a while and i seem to remember seeing someone suggesting a tab or option to search for fembot related content focusing on malfunctions. I was wondering if something like that could be implemented.

perhaps for example one could tag stories or images with descriptive tags like (malfunction) or (damage-water exposure). We already have a similar set for searching built or converted fembots and we could expand and add more tags depending on the story or picture. it just be more specific. I'm expert on website design but seems like something that would make searching for certain things easier.

I agree the wiki needs some modification to make it more user friendly

Oooh, a "Faceoff" tag would be swell too.

Is there a way to do that with stories already posted? if the creator does not put them perhaps the reader could place them? similar to how one bookmarks a page one could tage a story with things so that when they search for something specific it would pick up.

Some one also wanted to make a tag for robots that are actually vehicles for tiny animals,( cause that is a trend too). But for some reason he was dismissed.

for that you could use a category like (piloted) or (remote_controlled) there is a lot of ways you could write that category. Right now we only have two categories which is oddly small for the amount of content we now have. most booru or image hosting sites have something similar so it make sense for us to have something like that.

Awsome! . Hopefully more will be added. we could also make some categories for things like sleepers? or categories for sentient and non-sentient.

It was a thing of a month, when some anime about the topic went viral.

Can we do a Robo-vision category?

That's my favorite

Probably. There's a lot that can be added in that regard. all the fembot reveal tropes can be made into categories with maybe sentient and non-stnetience being included as well.

so summing up the categories heard so far. malfunction.faceoff, non-sentient, sentient, and robot vision

two other ideas include disassembly, as well as more descriptive things like malfunction-water exposure, or malfunction-overheating.

hey, if you seen any other writers tell them about this!. since it's up to the authors to categorize the story then it's important others know about this. cause right now only robotman's stories have been categorized.

Should this be applied to images too?

images from what i've heard will take a while. I've chatted with saya and she thinks that it would need to be connected to the images already created by the community. also she came up with a new category, (logical_fallacy) for stories that use that to either cause a malfunction ir manipulate and expose a fembot.

malfunction and faceoff have already been placed as categories. if you got any stories mixgull you can now place them if they have that trope.. it's important that more authors jump on this bandwagon.

here the category for stories that have a faceoff. http://www.fembotwiki.com/index.php?tit ... ry:Faceoff

and here the one for malfunctions http://www.fembotwiki.com/index.php?tit ... alfunction

exactly! images can remain uncategorized but with stories all it would take is some help. I discussed this with saya suggested that she put some of her stories in the malfunction category. all it would take is a few more authors putting work in to encourage others to do the same!

robotman, is it alright i could have an account on fembotwiki? i know i'm a new member but I want to help expand the categories. Would i need the authors permission to place them into the category?
