My so called negative view concerning the future of fembot fetishism stems from the ongoing sexual politic. Also,when I read on another thread about damaged fembots with heads removed etc.,as being misogynistic how can I not hold such a view?
This western culture prizes the individual and individuality above all else with a special focus on the promotion of female empowerment. To have some damned patriarchal hetero fantasy of a sexy functional female object,let alone one that can be partially disassembled while tinkering you know,is just wrong to many and not progressive-minded.

I'm not sure if that's a dig at my comment or not, but let me clarify. I made the misogynistic comment regarding the removed head not so much because of the head being removed, but because the fembot in question in the preview clip was screaming the whole time. That ain't sexy, and veers right into torture porn, in my estimation.

Because those many don't understand the erotic animal inside each mind,
below the social, below the rational.
Because those many confuse imaginary power-relationships in fantasy with reality
- as if we want all of our fantasies to become real.

I don't think we should say "fantasy" when talking about a goal we long to achieve,
but which we believe is "fantastically" impossible.

Does anyone thinks that "fantasy becomes reality" - yours, mine, his, everybody's together
- would be a good idea? Do we think others are that simple-minded?
A large fraction of all fantasies are obviously bad ideas on their face, even to the fantasist.
That's how the brain works, stirring up all sorts of crazy what-if.

I say, clear up the confusion:
"fantasy" stays fantasy - what is;
"fantasy becomes reality" - what should never be;

and almost impossible-seeming dreams which you would like to make happen
might make for a world you'd call "fantastic", but that's a different meaning altogether.

Both types exist here - those who want real fembot technology, and those who want to explore imagination for it's own sake. Others can build, to make the woman they haven't got, or aren't but wish they were. And some imbue her with sentience, which locks them in even further to treating a real creature well or badly.

I claim the right of Fiction. Like vampires - do those many rant against the sins of vampires?
Some people will never accept Fictions as Fictions, if they wouldn't want to live through. them personally.

Drama Bad! Ooooh!
Real World, plus a World imaginary?
Brain hurt now.

Hey, I think that you guys are cool; in fact I am almost way ahead of you guys myself. I have actually been dreaming about being a "pimp" whose stable consists of nothing but fembot prostitutes for almost two decades! Of course, the fembots would be programmed to perform a wide variety of services - anything from engine repair, plumbing, electrical work, etc. to cleaning the house, cooking, gardening, etc. - for any "johns", or clientele. Then, the fembots could perform those extra services as well...

Anyway, here are, I think, some excellent ideas for sexy fembots:

I can certainly understand where he is coming from and the frustration with getting older and having less and less options. He is probably the eldest among us here and had this fetish before most of ya'll were even born. He's paid his dues in life and has earned his right to his opinion. He's got nothing to prove like those that "vehemently" deny and candy coat things.

I don't like making this forum seem hostile nor elitist as much as the next person. I would hope that people, including females, would feel comfortable here and can add their own observations on the subject. Personally, I think prostitution should be legal as it is since it's business between adults and is held to higher standards when it is legal. It is stupid and reactionary to deny that freedom to consenting and/or responsible adults based solely on perceived morality. It's only more ludicrous to impose alleged moral authority when it's adults paying to play with adult toys that aren't hurting anyone.

But calling one of us a troll doesn't invalidate his statement. Politically incorrect as it may seem, it is probably sadly true. While that's not true for all women, humans are still subject to any threat they feel on the proverbial food chain, real or imagined. At least he doesn't advocate for fembots that look like children, eh? (Don't worry, I realize the supposed hypocrisy of that last statement after my diatribe on morality. I just don't go there. Period.) That said, it might appear like he's trying to pick a fight but statements born of bitterness usually have their foundations in experience. Are you experienced?

I think that you are absolutely right, Frostillicus! Xodar, I feel ya; I know exactly where you're coming from. Although I may/may not be as old as you, (I am 39 going on 40!) as a male, I too feel as if my opportunites for finding the right woman are just about gone - it may already be too late for me to have kids. ( There are many people slightly younger than me who are already GRANDPARENTS! ) I may sound like a loser to many of you, but at least I am still alive and still have a job, for what it's worth. Just hang on, Xodar and all of the rest of you guys out there who think like me - just keep your head and go for your prize if you really believe in it! :D

Glad to see some honest concurrence with Xodar. I would love the idea of an absence of sexual/social politics with this forum,but it's been from the start at least from where I stand. When I first plugged the words female-android,robot and fembot into a search engine feminist themed links were among the few returns.

Yeah its a pity that even to this very day, there are still so many Human zealots who are gung-ho on these "quests to purge the World of Sin" and "moral witchhunts". It's gonna go on and on, even where just robots are concerned. On one side, some will say that fully sentient (self-aware) robots should not be subjected to slavery and/or prostitution and that they should be entitled to individual rights just like Humans are, and on another side, many will say that sentient robots would just be highly advanced and sophisticated workman's tools and/or sex toys. ( Check out this information about robot rights. ) Either way, you almost can't win. We all know that in most (not all) of the Middle East, for example, those governments/citizens don't allow much of anything over there unless it furthers their fundamentalist Islamic cause - there are lots of various heavy restrictions on all technology and all media; scientific research/academia is often discouraged in many areas because many Islamists fear modernization; so many non-Muslims have been put to death for either practicing their religions and/or somehow "defaming" Muhammed, the Prophet of Islam; Muslim men are mandated to have long beards in many areas or they will go to jail and Muslim women are confined to wearing burquas (even in the summertime) and staying in their kitchens. Most Middle Easterners wouldn't have a single clue when it comes to understanding any of us technosexuals and technophiles; they are still living in the twelveth century. Even out here in the West, particularly the USA, there is some ostracism. Many years ago, down in the State of Alabama - one of the poorest states in the country that has criminalized just about everything outside of traditional, heterosexual marriages ( that are monoracial - or one race - and Christian ) - the government enacted measures to ban the distribution and possession of sex toys. There was an outcry over this which was spearheaded by the ACLU and many civil others who believed that this was just another instance of the government trampling on personal freedoms. One of the politicians who supported the bill commented on the products being "trashy". With that in mind, it would most likely then be illegal to distribute and/or possess a sex robot and/or one of those dolls from Real Dolls . Of course, I would hope not, but I really don't expect too much from Alabama, a state that has been historically oppressive/suppressive against Human rights, civil rights and civil liberties. Furthermore, I have run into some misinformed people who believe that everyone who is into sex robots, robot porn and/or hentai (manga/anime porn) is also into far more evil stuff such as pedophilia and/or child porn. (?) This idea stems from the misconception that (toy) robots, comic books and cartoons are designed only for children and that grown people that are "normal" are just not into stuff like that. A lot of people who believe this have little knowledge of what happens afterwards at those Dragon Conventions, where those adults in cosplay get together and really - but almost secretly - do whatever. As far as regular adult Human sex workers and regular adult porn are concerned, most of us know the deal with that. I am not necessarily bashing everyone somehow involved in any of the major organized or "White Light" religions (Judaism, Islam, Christianity, Catholicism, and Mormonism) but on one side, there are religious extremists/zealots (of all types) who say that every thing that is sexual and/or dealing with the adult sex industry is evil and must be "purged from the land" and on the other side there are the (often conservative) women's groups who believe that the adult sex industry is too exploitive, degrading and demeaning to women and must be stopped. Then again, there are many others who like to always bring up concerns about the Kid Thang again (even though eighty percent of the time, it isn't true), and/or the modern idea nowadays that so many women and children from around the World are being tricked, drugged, trafficked and/or smuggled into sex shops and/or sex studios as sex slaves. (A guy that I worked with said that anyone who lives with a sex doll is not fit to be a public schoolteacher.) Anyway, the debate just goes on and on, with almost no end in sight. Anyway, here are some more visuals of fembots for the "steel peddling" trade:

wow, fembot_stalker... I don't even know where to begin. I'm glad you're excited about so many things, but you seem to be either severely overgeneralizing or a trifle misinformed in some matters. We should all take a step back before we have a multi-regional, multi-religion, cross-gender screaming match.

Very well said fembot_stalker. You brought up points and backed them up with facts. Neither religious moral authority nor political correctness will get us anywhere. Both breed ignorance and denial while pushing their own brands of intolerance. I'm not promoting outright offensiveness at all (I believe in consideration) but we will only grown when we truly acknowledge our differences and either accept them or simply tolerate them... just as long as we aren't PHYSICALLY imposing on or hurting one another.

The 20th century was the clash of ideologies, Nationalism, Fascism, Capitalism, Communism etc ... The 21st century will be about religious and social values in a changing world and rapidly advancing technology. If the socially conservatives of today have problems with homosexuality and whatever else they consider to be deviant, they will have a field day with AI, genetic modification, brought on by social and scientific changes. And my guess is that robot prostitution will be a minor quibble at best.

Agreed - and the cultural schism has happened before. H.G. Wells and science for those looking forward, and for those unwilling to embrace the Modern technological order, Edgar Rice Burroughs and a nostalgia for adventure and Empire. Sir Arthur Conan-Doyle spans both, pulled between Holmes' ultra-rationalism and his own fervent desire that there were faery realms, ghosts and an afterlife.

My question: how does it differ, when the demographic-ideological split occurs in an era of economic Boom or Bust? Are the Public feeling expansive, or fearful? What's the distribution of hope and real opportunity across the population?

I think the two scenarios look very different, and planning for the wrong one might waste your efforts.
