Lifelike to what we could see when she wear clothes, but definitively apparent that she's a robot when she don't wear anything (seams at upper arms and legs, artifical looking pussy, and evident servicing abdominal access hatch).

Any of those except the metallics, for me.

I don't know why I don't care for metal, but, I don't.

Well, it really depends a whole lot on my mood at the moment.
Tho on the whole, I'd have to join EHY and Kishin in my general
lack of attraction to the purely metallic look. Tho' there have been
a few times.....

I guess my main desires (not in any order) focus on :

1) The "Soccer Mom" style of fembot. Lifelike in most every way
and programmed to act and believe she is human. Till told to
enter robotic mode when desired, that is.

2) The Real Doll latex look. Programmed to know totally that she is
a device and core algorithms which give positive feedback based
on her "pride" at being a device.

Hmmm...It seems that my appearance preferences are highly
influenced by behavioural aspects too..... Sorry if I slipped
off topic.

I have also had some nice thoughts involving the mannequinn
look as seen in a Bjork video ("All Is Love" as I recall the title).
Obediantly,
sara

Definately Realdoll like !
Lifelike might be ok if there are still subtle differences or panels.
Third place would be plastic-like and then metalic.
Flesh/metalic combo is worst for me.

I can understand the logic of totally lifelike getting a lot of votes, but to me there just has to be that 'little something' that defines her as non human in status. Discreet panels would be 1 way round that, seams or maybe a manufacturers mark would be others. The mark could be say above the navel or on the chest where it only shows when desired.
I suppose in many ways a very advanced real doll type android would be a very good option.
I can equally understand fully why the metallic look isnt popular, its just too non human for most peoples tastes, in terms of contact of any kind with a robot. Me, I do love the metallic look a la Maria but I guess thats just my sort of desire.
Something reasonably lifelike, but clearly not human would be favourite way to go.
I'm just a 'girl' who wants to become a fembot whats wrong with that?

I think that the metal is not so popular because of the common perception of metals: cold, hard and sharp.

The problem with these polls...

Post by code_author » Tue Nov 22, 2005 7:52 pm

The problem I have with these polls is that they don't let you check more than one answer. I like life-like, but I also like metalic, partial metalic, life-like with seams metalic with seams, etc... Hell I like most fembots, that's why I'm here.

I'll agree with Phantom, I'd like my fembot to look clearly artificial...and eerily sexy...

I'd favor the totally lifelike ones myself.

I'd imagine more of a flesh/fiberglass or flesh/abs plastic kind of thing, but that option wasn't avalible. =\ Metal's so outdated to me.

I totally agree with slvsara. It all depends on my mood. I like the way metal looks, but it's really not practical for most intended uses. The realisitc look is the one I think I'd prefer for most cases, and so I voted that way.

But then again, maybe you could have a couple fembots. One for daily companionship, and a sporty model (probably the plastic looking one) for just robotic sex!

If it's metallic, it has to be "à la Phantasy Star", it's turn on for me. I like them all but i choosed flesh/metal combo.

I prefer totally life-like, except perhaps some kind of tatoo or very subtle give-away.

It would be good to have movements and behavior give away her robot quality but in a way that is subtle. Moving with extreme grace but in a somewhat stereotypical way - moving a ballerina all the time.

Also, she would have super-model looks and a charming emotional affect, basically qualities that would make people ask "how the heck did she get here?"

This is more or less the presentation of The Stepford Wives in the book version. Too pretty and poised to be real yet always leaving them guessing.

Best,

S

My ideal would have an appearance that is almost indistinguishable from a human except for a few tiny things. She'd have a few tiny seams where her panels open, hair that looks a bit artificial and maybe an unnatural eye colour. She might hold herself with a posture that is a bit too perfect or talk in a very formal-sounding voice without the usual slang. She may seem a little oblivious to organic things like emotion, faith and pain.

I also go for almost a cyborg look with robotic limbs on an otherwise human-like body.

I used to prefer 100% lifelike, but begin to really like the plastic/fibre/metal style like in All is full of love, I Robot (well...), Svedka ads... Building a lifelike robot would be veeery difficult but a plastic one - with wires and ventilation holes everywhere, a blue illuminated power button on her chest - is very imaginable to arrive in the near future, which already does it for me. I LOVE the screw-holes you see on Björk's chest in AIFOL.. geez everytime I see a screwdriver, it reminds me of her

My ideal fembot looks 100% real
But i like when skin is really realistic but a little "too" perfect to be true....
Perfectly regular with a very litle plastic aspect but only if you look a the skin from very near.

Heh, Phantasy Star Androids = <3
I agree with that. It just seems to defeat the purpose of being a robot if their entirety looks too human.
